Visions of A Tree Portraitist
I currently take three approaches to my work. I am a tree portraitist, a surrealist sculptor/photographer, and contemporary documentary photographer. These threads are tied through philosophies of surrealism, shamanism and animism. My objective within each of these categories is to show the the underlying themes that connect the transcendent and the mundane. This is the tradition of magical realism in which one strives to see beyond the periphery of cultural vision.
